Ruby Taylor: Featured Artist Summer Festival 2014

We are delighted to announce that our Summer Festival’s Featured Artist is Puck Collective’s Ruby Taylor.

Ruby is a Bristol UWE BA(hons) Illustration graduate (2009 - 2012), who lives and works in London. As a member of Puck Collective, an innovative and annually evolving London-based illustration collective, she has exhibited at Pick Me Up (2013), Boxpark (2013) and at the London Illustration Fair 2013. Independently, Ruby has exhibited with Belly Kids collective and Beach London, and has produced editorial illustrations, murals, t-shirt designs, stationary and prints for clients including Little White Lies, Flow Magazine, Galison, Wrap Magazine and Smith Journal. Ruby has most recently worked with Asos on a very exciting project that will be revealed on the 5th May, so watch this space!

Ruby will be designing all of the Summer Festival’s promotional material, a large-scale ‘Tropicana’ themed mural that will be exhibited at the festival and limited edition badges. Ruby will also be producing an exclusive piece of work, to be unveiled on our opening weekend. Her work will be on sale in our online shop and in the LIF print store throughout the Summer Festival.

Ruby’s nostalgic, effortlessly playful and charming style definitely makes her The London Illustration Fair’s ‘one-to-watch’ in 2014. Keep your eyes peeled for Ruby’s up close and personal video interview with The LIF’s Holly Simpson. Holly catches up with Ruby to see how her Summer Festival designs are coming along and asks her what is it like to be a young emerging illustrator in London. But for now, here's Ruby's Little White Lies video of her mural for Woddy Allen's 'Blue Jasmin'.
